A. Information You Provide

We collect information you explicitly input into the app, including:

Profile Information: Name, email address, and profile picture.
Child Information: Name (optional/nickname recommended), birth date, gender, and specialized details (e.g., birth weight, length).
Activity Data: Logs of daily activities such as feedings, diaper changes, sleep sessions, baths, and medical visits.
Audio & Notes: Voice memos or text notes attached to activities.

B. Automatically Collected Information

Device Information: Device model, OS version, and unique identifiers (for crash reporting and analytics).
Usage Data: Interactions with app features to help us improve the user experience.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly to provide and improve the DADit experience:

Core Functionality: To display your timeline, calculate statistics, and manage family syncing.
Syncing: To synchronize data across devices and share it with invited family members via Cloud Firestore.
Analytics: To understand feature usage patterns (anonymized where possible).
AI Features (Ask DADit Co-Pilot): If you opt-in to use the Ask DADit AI Co-Pilot, specific data is shared with our third-party AI provider, Google Gemini.
- What data is sent: The literal chat messages you type, your unit of measurement preferences, and up to 5 of your most recent timeline/health logs (e.g., recent infant symptom or reflux entries).
- How it is collected: This data is automatically queried and bundled when you submit a chat message within the Ask DADit feature.
- How it is used: Google Gemini processes this data strictly to provide contextualized, personalized advice and responses to your queries. This data is not used to train Google's public foundation models.

3. Data Storage and Security

Cloud Storage: Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase (Firestore and Cloud Storage). We implement industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
Local Caching: Data is cached locally on your device for offline access.
Family Access: Data is shared only with users you explicitly invite to your "Family Squad." You retain control over who has access.

4. Protection of Private Information

We acknowledge that your family data is highly sensitive. In accordance with global data protection principles, we commit to:

Lawful Processing: We only process your personal information for the specific purposes outlined in this policy (app functionality, syncing, and improvement).
Purpose Specification: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or child data to third-party advertisers.
Security Safeguards: We employ robust technical measures (encryption, access controls) to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or damage to your personal information.
Data Subject Participation: You have full rights to access, correct, or delete your data at any time via the app settings.

5. Children's Privacy

DADit is a tool for parents, not for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. All data regarding children is entered and managed by the adult account holder. You are responsible for the data you enter about your children.

6. Medical Disclaimer

DADit is not a medical device. Any insights, trends, or AI responses provided by the app are for informational purposes only and do not constitute medical advice. Always consult a qualified pediatrician or healthcare provider for medical concerns.

7. Premium Subscriptions

If you purchase a subscription (Plus or Pro):

Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not store your credit card information.
We receive a receipt to validate your subscription status.

8. Deletion of Data

You have the right to request the deletion of your account and all associated data. You can perform this action directly within the app settings under "Data Controls."

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy specifically to reflect changes in our practices or relevant laws. We will notify you of significant changes via the app.
